Arsenio Hall Will Host “BET Honors”

According to Essence, Arsenio Hall has been tapped to host the upcoming 2016 BET Honors, where he will recognize five extraordinary African-Americans who have been influential in their industries, reports BET. This year’s honorees include legendary musician Patti LaBelle, former attorney general Eric Holder, filmmaker and Empire co-creator Lee Daniels, Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid and Ariel Investments president Mellody Hobson.

Sidebar: One of my favorite performances in BET Honors history is when Kim Burrelle honored Whitney by singing her song "I Believe in You and Me." There is something special about being honored.
