HBO SETS A FALL DEBUT FOR ISSA RAE’S ‘INSECURE’

According to Shadow and Act, HBO has made it official, announcing that Issa Rae’s comedy series “Insecure” will debut this fall, and unfold over 8 half-hour episodes. The network didn’t give an exact date and time, but just know that the series will debut in the fall. Starring Issa Rae, Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis and Lisa Joyce, “Insecure” looks at the friendship of two black women and their uncomfortable experiences and racy tribulations.

Created and executive produced by Issa Rae, the show is also executive produced by Prentice Penny, Melina Matsoukas, Michael Rotenberg, Dave Becky and Jonathan Berry.  Larry Wilmore serves as a consultant.
